I want to find a specific star

Asked by trekkiecat1959

My mom had a star named after her through Osmond.com. I entered the ascension & declination in the search window under the position tab but I couldn't find how to locate it in the sky field.

Uh, oh... Osmond.com sold you a piece of paper that says they have associated a star with your Mother's name. In their database.

OK, you already have that piece of paper with coordinates. Does it also tell you the star's magnitude? Most likely the star is too dim to be included in the standard set of stars, you have to download more. Call the settings panel [F2] and find the download option in the Tools tab. Hope to find the star after downloading more data.

Switch on the Equatorial grid as well to see coordinates on screen. [E]

Can you help with this problem?
