Mouse pointer missing when Stellarium is opened. The app responds to mouse movement (click and drag) but no visual pointer.

Asked by Nathan

After installing, when Stellarium is opened, there is no mouse pointer visible. The app responds to mouse movement (click and drag) but no pointer is visible. The menus pop up when the mouse is moved to the bottom left and left bottom. The menu options highlight when the mouse is moved but again, no visible pointer. I just bought this computer. Stellarium works fine on my old computer and my laptop. I'm running 64 bit Windows 7 professional SP1. My old computer was running Windows 7 also. My laptop is running Windows 8. I tried lowering my desktop resolution because I have had some issues with apps running at 3840x2160 resolution. This had no affect on the app.

The mouse pointer is set to its default. In full screen its not visible. If I hit F11 and exit full screen, the pointer is visible. If I maximize the window, the pointer is visible. Its just not visible in full screen mode. At this point, should I report this as a bug?

Do you have mouse tails turned on? Someone recently found that this
can cause problems.
