Stellarium crashes on open in Windows 7

Stellarium crashes on open and my OpenGL driver says 2.1. Using Windows 7. I've tried removing and reinstalling a couple of times, but no luck. Appreciate any help.

You need OpenGL2.1 plus working GLSL1.3. As mentioned in all other reports like yours, a diagnosis that goes beyond mere speculation can only be given if you add a log file.

My problem may be similar to above, but I have not heard of the Open GL2.1 nor GLSL1.3.
 what are these & how does one get them please
