No suitable for touchscreen (Win 8)
Hello,
I love Stellarium as observation tool, often using it on my smartphone (with Android) ; thanks to the "red vision" mode!
Recently I have bought an "ultra-book" with Windows 8 (which is an horrible OS, but it's another point...), and this ultra-book have the ability to be used as a tablet (it's a Lenovo Yoga), and one of the first thing I've done when I received it, was installing Stellarium, and test it in "tablet mode".
In this configuration, it's easy to rotate the view with the finger, and very confortable, BUT the multi-touch isn't supported, and there is no ability to zoom in or out.
Happy to see that the menu can be opened when I put my finger in the corner, BUT when I have to enter text (to set location for example), the virtual keyboard doesn't launch.
OK, I know that Stellarium is not (for now ;) ) thought for touchscreen (except through mobile OS versions), but I think that some minor adjustments could fix that.
For example (if multi-touch is to complex to implement without programming a specific touchscreen interface) buttons for zoom-in and zoom-out could be placed on the right side of the screen, and the ability to launch virtual keyboard for text entries could be activated in the settings. I think that simply a "touch-mode" setting could be created in the settigs menu, with such of these options could be activated.
So, I imagine that it's not a priority ;), but if some little things could be done to allow a touchscreen experience (even if a minimalist one), it would be great!
Thanks a lot!
(and sorry for my bad english... :/)
