Asked by Josephine Thane

When I start Stellarium, the entire screen flickers rapidly. I need a stable screen, obviously. I am running:

Windows 7 on an ASUS G73JH
OpenGL version is "3.2.9236 Compatibility Profile/Debug Context"
GLSL version is 1.50
Graphic card is ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5870
CPU is Intel Cor i& Q720@1.60GHz
CPU speed 1708 MHZ
8 cores
Current display mode is 1920x1080 @ 60 Hz - 32 bpp

Yes. Thanks for the tip - switching to a basic theme has cured this problem. I have others, but will search here and in the forum for answers before I post another question.

Solution: Switch from Aero theme to basic theme.
