the page up/down keys do not function in 12.4

Recently upgraded to Windows 7 home premium and installed the latest version of Stellarium, V 0.12.4 The page up page down keys now don't zoom in or out and the mouse wheel only intermittently allows the zoom function. Version 12.0 worked fine with Windows XP and version 12.1 works fine on my laptop. I have tried resetting default keyboard settings, this made no difference.

PC is a home built desktop with Athlon 64 X2 processor, 3 Gb RAM and GeForce GT610 graphics card, multiple hard drives, Microsoft wireless 800 keyboard and mouse.

Is there anything I can do to restore the zoom in and out function?

Simple work around for this issue: just click on the sky after start of Stellarium.

May not have understood that correctly, Alexander, clicking on the sky doesn't seem to change anything. A randomly selected target appears but still no zoom?

OK. First step: please check "mark" on point "Enable keyboard navigation" in Navigation tab (F2 -> Navigation).

Yes, it was checked so tried undoing and re-doing it (saving both times) and it works!
