whitescreen and system crash

Asked by j

updated new version of stellarium and when i start it up the screen stays white and then freezes the computer.
I know it is probably a graphic card and/or processor issue but would like a professional opinion.
here is the last log:

Not exactly brand-new, but it may still support OpenGL 2.0. Have you updated graphics drivers recently?
You can also install an older version.

thanks for the response.
I checked for updates to the graphics drivers. it says i have the latest version.
I then checked that against OpenGL and it says it supports up to version 1.4 of OpenGL.
I see the minimum requirement is for OpenGL 1.2 so in theory it should work.

I will go back to using and older version for now.

J
