Force Quit

I have to force quit Stellarium to get it to close.

How can I close Stellarium without having to force quite?

I am on a Mac... so I guess OSX. I just downloaded Stellarium yesterday so
the most recent version.

Sorry... I am not a computer buff. I am using it for an Astronomy class
that I just started.

Timothy - our developer on OSX platform. I can't help because I don't have modern OSX.

The issue is with Qt. I had thought the latest build, with 4.8.5, resolved this, as I've not had it happen to me. What version of Stellarium are you using? ('latest' isn't a version number)

Well, if you downloaded the DMG from that location, it should be 0.12.2. Just to be sure, please download
https://launchpad.net/stellarium/0.12/0.12.2/+download/Stellarium-0.12.2.dmg
and try.
