Change COM port default

Is there any way to change the default COM port setting from COM1 to COM5 ?

In the Telescope Control plug-in? What do you mean by "change the default setting"?

If you want to use another serial port, just type it in - COM5.

If you want to have COM5 appear instead of COM1 every time you create a new telescope connection, this can't happen without modifying the source code and recompiling Stellarium.
