You might be able to get more detailed information from the log window... after this happens press F1 to open the help dialog and then go to the log tab.

There are two statements in the error message (sorry, it IS confusing!).

1. Failed to update 0 / 700 satellites.

This means that for all the satellites which Stellarium found in the online sources, the TLE data was usable. No updates failed because of corrupt or otherwise bad TLE data.

2. 67 missing

However, 67 satellites which Stellarium plots the positions of did not have any data in the online sources, and where therefore not updated. This means that none of the update URLs have data for these 67 satellites. You can find out which ones were not updated by looking at the satellites.json file and finding those satellites whose lastUpdated value is older than the rest. There is no automated process for doing this at the moment.

There are a few possible reasons for this 67 missing thing.

i) Satellites which used to be in the online sources when the original satellites.json file was put together have been removed from the online update URLs. Celestrak sometimes removes satellites - sometimes because they are de-orbited. In this case it would make sense to remove those entries from the satellites.json file

ii) You added new satellites to the satellies.json file but there is no data in the online update URLs for them. In this case, you should find some URL which contains data and add it to the update list.

iii) Something else.
