You can hide the stars by the shortcut key [S]

To import 2012 JU orbital elements do the following:
- Go to Configuration Window from the side bar or press [F2]

- Select the Plugins tab

- Select the Solar System Editor plugin

- Check the "Load at startup" box in the options section

- Restart Stellarium

- Go to Plugins again

- Select Solar System Editor

- Press the configure button

- Solar system tab, Import orbital elements in MPC format ...

- Online search tab, enter 2012 JU - the text is case sensitive

- perform the search

- Check the box next to it

- Add objects

if you want to add the list of potentially hazardous asteroids go to the "lists" tab instead of "Online search" tab

- select the source from the "select bookmark" pull down list

- Get orbital elements

- check the asteroids you want and add objects

The asteroids positions will be visible if you do the following:

- Sky and viewing options window [F4]

- Sky tab:
Make absolute scale maximum e.g 9 and relative scale minimum, e.g .25
     Dynamic eye adaptation off
     Show atmosphere off
      light pollution 1
     show planets on
     show planet markers on
labels and markers Planets slide button all the way to the right
