Stellarium sky not matching the sky im looking at outside, Time Issue?

Asked by Bam9

a few weeks ago i had to reinstall my stellarium, when i did so i notice that even though ive matched my location in lat. and long. perfectly, the program is still running three hours ahead despite being run on the right time and everything. to put it simply, if it is currently 11:00pm i have to set the program to think it is 8:00 pm so that the sky im looking at is shown in the program. i know something is incorrect considering that even though the sun is setting at 530, the program shows it setting at 230......ive tried adjusting everything i see and i cannot fix this problem. could this issue be caused by it currently being a leap year or something silly like that or has anyone had a similar problem? and help and insight would be greatly appreciated.

Please check your computer's time zone settings.

You can also check the Time Zone plug-in to see if you accidentally haven't set a time zone offset.

Also, if you have entered your coordinates manually, there may be a problem with Stellarium not reading them correctly. If the solutions above don't work, try finding in the list a location close to you and see if the problem still occurs.
