Would you be interested in a new GUI design

First off, this is a very cool application you have created, but the GUI is not very pretty or usable.

I'm a graphics designer looking to contribute to open-source, but I'm struggling to find a project to work on. I have never worked on any kind of open-source before. I used to code once upon a time, but almost all my design work has been implemented by front-end devs, be it apps or web. So would you take me on board and show me the ropes?

I was thinking a new look and feel for the interface, along with new icons. Rework the website and anything else there is to be done. If I was to do this I would need help implementing this, since qt tools are new to me.
