Scripting: Get Star Information

Hi guys. How can I take the name and the magnitude of a star and print it out in the debug window?
For instance I have HIP 677. I select the star. Now I want to put down the magnitude and star name in the deput window.

Hi,

I think (not sure) that you can not do it currently. the star magnitude can be obtained through StelObject class which is not supported by the scripting engine. The list of supported classes is at this link:
http://www.stellarium.org/doc/head/scripting.html

May be one of the Stellarium team can have a definitive answer.
