How to turn the sky

Asked by Markus Hanke

a typical telescope doesn't show the sky in the same orientation as the reality is - or the eye sees it. Instead it is twisted by some degrees, maybe 180° or a different value. When navigating with the telescope and by the help of Stellarium, it would make things much easier, if one could turn the sky (in Stellarium) at the center of looking (not around Polaris, as Stellarium allows already (Ctrl-M)). Is there a way to achieve this with Stellarium?

Open the "Settings" window. In the "Navigation" tab, check the "Show flip buttons" box. This will show two additional button in the bottom bar that allow flipping the image horizontally or vertically.

Hi,

thanks a lot. I've searched the dialogs carefully, but haven't found it. The reason might be the somewhat strange German translation :-) I am using (mainly because my son is also using this software).
