How did you try exactly to control it from your laptop?

Stellarium can control telescopes using the Telescope Control plug-in. It comes with the Stellarium installation, so you don't need to install it separately. You only need to activate it.

According to its manual, Orion SkyQuest XX14g uses the same commands as a NexStar controller, so when configuring the Telescope Control plug-in, use "NexStar (or compatible)" as the device model.

Make sure that you enter the correct serial port name/number.

Before trying to connect Stellarium to the telescope, make sure that the telescope is set up correctly (geographical coordinates, time/date, etc.) and that it is "unparked".

Well, I tryed to connect it to the COM1 port the laptop has. It appears in the software the configurations to Celestron Nextstar (compatible) and SynScan AZ GoTo as well but none of them work...

But lattely I will try to go to the shop and ask them if they knew how it works, b/c it`s very strange having the right cable and software and doesn`t work :(

Can you help with this problem?
