Programme running too slow

Asked by Mo Miah

Hi,I have downloaded Stellarium 0.11.0 version recently on my PC which runs Windows XP and has 1gb RAM, 160gb hard drive and a Radeion 256mb graphics card. Unfortunately everything on Stellarium runs really slow (at 0.03 FPS.) I also have Stellarium on my laptop and that runs really well. Can anyone help please. I do not understand a lot of computer jargons so plain English would really help.

Mo

O.K., you say that installed drivers for graphics card is up to date. Please check version your Catalyst and date their release. If version less 10.2 or release date not 2/24/2010 then go to this page http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/windows/Legacy/Pages/radeonaiw_xp.aspx?type=2.4.1&product=2.4.1.3.13&lang=English and download Catalyst Software Suite. After downloading install it. If your Catalist is up to date then write me about it.

I have downloaded the latest version and its now working as fast as it should be. However for some reason the names of the star are appearing very blured even when you zoom in. Any idea why that could be?

Do you mean running it by clicking on the shortcut icon on my desktop? If so, i have done this but to no avail. What does (no OpenGL20 mean?
