Need help with cmake

Asked by Jeffrey Gene Hankins Jr.

I have both cmake and Qt (and both recent enough versions to comply with the build requirements), but I cannot build Stellarium 0.10.6 because cmake reports the following error:

Qt qmake not found!

How do I resolve this error? This program is very difficult to build, and this version is not in Ubuntu's repositories.

There are build instructions on Stellarium's website, though they may be incomplete and/or messed-up by well-meaning but inept helpers.

Build instructions for Linux:
http://www.stellarium.org/wiki/index.php/Compilation_on_Linux

Build instructions for Windows:
http://www.stellarium.org/wiki/index.php/Windows_Build_Instructions

If you are using Ubuntu, the error makes no sense. If your Qt and CMake come from the repositories, CMake should be able to find qmake.

Did you install Qt from the Ubuntu repositories, or did you use something else?

By the way, there's a PPA with Stellarium 0.10.6 for Ubuntu:
https://launchpad.net/~stellarium/+archive/stellarium-releases

Can you help with this problem?
