Screen flashes even when im not doing anything

When i open the program the screen keeps flashing as if it is a really old projector movie. I have uninstalled and reinstalled it. The second time almost worked until i closed the read me file. How do I remedy this?

Do you have a Stellarium installed on Windows?

Do you have flickering of toolbars or all screen?

Yes it is installed on windows. And it is the whole screen. I tried going into options to possibly turn something off and that is flashing as well and nothing worked.

Videocard into your computer is ATI? Please create a bug report and write operating system, vendor and version of driver for your videocard and attach log.txt file from Stellarium.

see my answer for question 144821 : enable "Wait for Vertical Refresh" in 3D Properties.

Where would i find that option? The flashing screen gives me a headache so i cant search for very long :(
