How do I use the startup-script command line option?
I'm running Stellarium 10.6 on Ubuntu 10.10.
I can't seem to get the startup-script command line option to work. I've tried invoking it like this:
stellarium --startup-script screensaver.ssc
Stellarium starts up fine, but does not run the screensaver.ssc script (which *is* listed in the scripts dialog). The console output includes the following line:
"WARNING: cannot open script: "
(note the quotes are part of the output).
So it seems like it thinks I requested a script with an empty name?
I've tried using the startup-script option in various other ways as well, all with the same result:
stellarium --startup-
stellarium --startup-
stellarium --startup-
stellarium --startup-
stellarium --startup-
stellarium --startup-
stellarium --startup-script "screensaver.ssc"
stellarium --startup-script screensaver.ssc
stellarium --startup-script screensaver
stellarium --startup-script "screensaver"
I think that pretty much exhausts all of the standard ways of implementing a command line option in Unix. I've also tried using the full path to the screensaver.ssc file in /usr/local/
So, is this a bug, or what am I doing wrong?
