How do I use the startup-script command line option?

I'm running Stellarium 10.6 on Ubuntu 10.10.

I can't seem to get the startup-script command line option to work. I've tried invoking it like this:
stellarium --startup-script screensaver.ssc

Stellarium starts up fine, but does not run the screensaver.ssc script (which *is* listed in the scripts dialog). The console output includes the following line:

"WARNING: cannot open script: "

(note the quotes are part of the output).

So it seems like it thinks I requested a script with an empty name?

I've tried using the startup-script option in various other ways as well, all with the same result:
stellarium --startup-script=screensaver.ssc
stellarium --startup-script="screensaver.ssc"
stellarium --startup-script=screensaver
stellarium --startup-script="screensaver"
stellarium --startup-script"screensaver.ssc"
stellarium --startup-script"screensaver"
stellarium --startup-script "screensaver.ssc"
stellarium --startup-script screensaver.ssc
stellarium --startup-script screensaver
stellarium --startup-script "screensaver"

I think that pretty much exhausts all of the standard ways of implementing a command line option in Unix. I've also tried using the full path to the screensaver.ssc file in /usr/local/share/stellarium/scripts, with no difference. In all cases, the warning message printed to the console seems to indicate an empty script name. There are no examples of how to use this option in the User's Guide.

So, is this a bug, or what am I doing wrong?

Looks like a bug. I can replicate it.

There is another known problem with the startup script which is on my list to look at (crash).
