some menu items are in not alphabetic characters

Some menu items are in non alphabetic characters. Usually the first 2 or 3 characters. My guess is my video card but not sure

Most of these sorts of things are video driver problems. Some of them can be solved by running in safe mode. i.e. on OSX/Linux run from terminal like this:

 stellarium --safe-mode

Under windows you can do that from the cmd window, or use the "Stellarium (No OpenGL2)" option from the start menu.

Please post your log.txt file, your video card make and model and driver version and a screenshot of the problem - I am trying to gather and categorize these issues.
