Possible malware

During the download McAfee reported that the program contained adware or other malware. I continued the download but I won't run the file until I know why this happened. I used multiple malware scanners including McAfee and they all reported nothing. I would like to know why this file was flagged during download.

If you have downloaded the installation file from one of the numerous "freeware download" websites, I suggest you download it from Stellarium's official file repository at SourceForge:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/stellarium/files/Stellarium-win32/

If you have downloaded it from Stellarium's website or the problem persists, I suggest you ask McAfee.

No adware or malware is intentionally packaged with Stellarium. Of course, there's the slight possibility that something may have eluded the packager's anti-virus program and infected the installer. :)
