can stellarium run on 64 bit laptop

i cannot get this software to run on my laptop. It shows a blank white screen and hang up my sysytem. I do no see anything on the screen. I have a 64 bit pc running window 7 64 bit with 4GB RAM 220GB disk. Can stellarium run on a 64 bit laptop? If so can someone tell me hoe to make this work

i hava a 64bit ubuntu and stellarium is running fine

try to remove it complitly and download it again
this is form the stellarium website
