On screen fonts for stars and the two bars on the side and bottom can't be read

I am running win.7 and have used other releases of stellarium with no problems. I just downloaded and installed 10.5 and the descriptions of the stars and the bottom and side pannel controls fonts cannot be read. Only the large font name of the objects clicked on can be read.
I have a 32 bit 3.0 procesor and a radeon x1300/x1500 series syncmaster video card.
I have downloaded the latest video driver.

Please try the "Stellarium (OpenGL2)" shortcut in Stellarium's Start menu folder. If it works, you can copy it to your desktop.

My system had come up using stellarium (openGL2). I changed to no opengl2 and it is now working as before.
