can I right align translated text for RTL language

Asked by Khalid AlAjaji

First, Thanks for everyone in the stellarium team.
The question is: Is there any way that would make translated arabic text right-aligned. Currently, all translated arabic text will appear left-justified, which is unnatural for arabic readers who read right to left.

You can do it partially, only for the windows. You can start Stellarium with the "-reverse" command line argument. This will cause Stellarium's windows change their layout to right-to-left. Unfortunately, this will not affect star labels and the info field in the top left corner.

In Windows, you can edit Stellarium's shortcut on the desktop or in the Start menu and change the command line so it will be used any time you start Stellarium.

Proper support for right-to-left layout is in my to-do list:

Thanks Bogdan, I tried the "-reverse" but nothing seems to happen to the text. Any how, this will not stop in the way of enjoying such a great software.

For your effort in RTL support, I would be glad to participate in testing.
For star labels, I don't think it will make much difference. May be It's not worth the effort.

There are a few issues currently for rtl text appearence when the direction is ltr. This is not specific to Stellarium, and I think things will sort out beautifully when we get RTL support.

Can you help with this problem?
