Running test suite ?

Asked by Uffe Jakobsen

Hi,

I've been trying to run the test suite - and I'm having a hard time figuring out if the output (results) that I'm getting are good, bad or without meaning...

As there is no info on the test suite I just ran './test_script' in the 'test_suite' dir - and got the following output.

Is that good or bad ?

% ./test_script
python3
ar

It's not what you're supposed to get.

The test suite is, at best, a walking time bomb. It was originally meant as a quick and dirty mechanism for checking for regressions, but it's not really a proper test suite at all. It needs to do-over, but I unfortunately have not had time to address it.

Can you help with this problem?
