can I update without admin authorization?

Asked by Adrian De La Mora

I am deploying apps in a company environment (internal only). The users do not have administrative access, which means the update automatically asks for admin user/pass. Is there a way around this?

You could have update-manager run as setuid root (sudo chmod +s /usr/bin/update-manager) but that could potentially lead to security issues.

Can you help with this problem?
