Is there a way to keep the downloaded file?

Asked by Harald Hanche-Olsen

Sparkle is fine when you maintain just a single computer, but if you are maintaining several, it would be useful to be able to keep the downloaded file and use it to update the rest of your computers. For bonus points, if one could point sparkle on those other machines at a copy of the downloaded file that would be better still. Is this possible? Would it be as useful as I imagine it would be? Or would it complicate sparkle needlessly?

This is something I've thought about, but I decided it was needless complication. Mostly because once the binary-diff updates branch lands (shortly, I hope), they should be small enough that it doesn't really matter.

Okay, until then I have other means at my disposal. Like fishing the downloaded file out from behind sparkle's back. 8-)
