Does Sparkle compile for 64bit and support Snow Lepard

I was updating a preference panel for Snow Lepard (10.6) and 32 bit version works, but 10.6 really want's 64bit's :).

I have not tried to download and compile sparkle from SVN yet does it , work?

Yes, and in fact, 1.5b6 as distributed online is compiled for x86_64. Sparkle works fine on Snow Leopard.

Out of curiosity, will 1.5 be released in time for apps to include it for Snow Leopard. I can see developers not wanting to include a beta version of a framework in their app.

No promises. But 1.5b6 is pretty stable, and a couple hundred apps use it. I mean, you should absolutely use it instead of 1.1.

I do use it, and have seen a lot of apps using it. I'm just curious why it hasn't been released yet. I could see some developers being uneasy about shipping beta code in their released program.

Mainly I'm pushing for release because if this is never released, then my patch for multiple appcast items per appcast will never make it in (since you said it will be considered after 1.5 is released). :)
