Will new update w/dsa keys work with older builds without public key.

Asked by Robert DuToit

I am a bit confused. I have used earlier version of sparkle (1.1) for some time and have many builds out there without dsa signatures for security. Is it possible to issue a new update to my app with the new version of sparkle using dsa signatures? Will the older builds out there be able to update? They have no public key embeded in resources etc... Or am I stuck without dsa signatures going forward? Thanks, Rob Dutoit

You can upgrade a 1.1-based app (without DSA) to a 1.5b6-based app (with DSA) without trouble. The *next* update you release will be verified via DSA.
