Sparkle

Not displaying release notes.

I have an Applescript Studio Application with the 1.5b5 framework. I believe I have everything configured correctly but the release notes do not show up in the window. When I access them directly through my web browser using the exact same URL as specified, it works fine.

The appcast is at http://tom-tech.com/iplayer/gui/updates.xml
Note: I realize that the version number is wrong for the last entry. I wanted it to be stuck in an infinite loop for testing purposes.

It is probably something I am doing because I am new to this. Let me know if you need the source.

Well I fixed it...

I downloaded the framework, cleaned all targets, reloaded all class files in IB, built it, and it worked. Very strange.

Never mind, I didn't fix it. Wow, this is confusing.

I found the circumstances under which it does not work.

A couple of new things have happened. Under the circumstances I am about to list, it also fails trying to check for an update at all.

Unless I go to the menu and click the "Check for Updates..." menu item quickly, it will not check for updates. I believe that it must be done before my Idle handler is called but I am not sure.

Very odd! Sorry you had so much trouble with it, but I have no idea about Applescript Studio or the implications of using Sparkle with it. I hope it doesn't cause you any more trouble.

Can you help with this problem?
