Relative address in sparkle:releaseNotesLink

Asked by livings124

Can I use relative address in sparkle:releaseNotesLink in the appcast xml file (ie, "notes.html" instead of "http://mysite.com/notes.html")? I can't seem to get this to work, but I thought I should ask if it's possible before I open a ticket.

Is there a reason for this, or should I go ahead and file a bug?

Is there a reason this would be a bug?

Not a bug so much as a feature request. Is there any reason why this shouldn't work?

Hm. A quick Google reveals a lot of people having trouble with relative links in RSS feeds—it seems different clients interpret them differently.

I'm not particularly inclined to fix this, but if you submit a patch, I'll take a look.

That's reason enough for me. I have no problem using an absolute link, just wanted to see if there was a reason to not support relative addresses.
