Why is my update requiring admin password?

I recently updated to 1.5b6 and noticed something strange.

When an update is ready for Install & Relaunch, I'm asked to type in my admin password.
This seems to be new behavior. In the past (pre Sparkle 1.5), when I was ready to install, it just did without user interruption.

My app is signed via codesigning and the archive is signed via openssl as suggested.

Did I misconfigure something or is this expected behavior now?

That'll happen when your user doesn't have permission to write over the app. Check the permissions on the app and its parent folder.
