Need ruby installed on server for sparkle?

Does my server need to have ruby installed for Sparkle Framework to work? From what I understand, all you need is an xml /RSS Feed which the framework checks to see its a new update is available, so having ruby installed or not is completely irrelevant to Sparkle working. Am I correct?

You're correct. You just need to be able to serve static content.
