Encrypted DMG's extraction fails

Asked by Matthew Smith

I have an application that I want to use Sparkle with but I need the update to be in a password protected dmg that the user must type in to extract the update. I used Sparkle 1.0 for this and it worked fine but with the latest version 1.5b6 I can no longer use password protected dmg's. I get the error "Sparkle Error: An error occurred while extracting the archive. Please try again later." and my console logs "hdiutil: attach failed - Authentication error". Unlike the 1.0 sparkle version, the password is never even requested for the DMG. Using non-password protected dmg's the update works fine.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Sorry, but Sparkle doesn't support password-protected dmgs. That that worked in the first place was coincidence! :)

Can you help with this problem?
