I fairly recently upgraded my Debian machine to buster. The 'convert' button is greyed out and can't be chosen

Asked by apolinsky

I had used SoundConverter for several years. I converted Stretch to Buster about a year ago but had not tried to use SoundConverter until last week. The convert btt was greyed out. I de-installed and re-installed SoundConverter with the same result. Under preferences I can choose Ogg, MP3 Flac Ms Wave or Opus. I am trying to convert From a wav file that was produced by Audacity. Would like to convert the .wav file to Flac as well as MP3 at the extremely high bit storage.

I think I've been Using SoundCoverter since Debian Jessie. Until the Debian update, everything worked perfectly. I believe the version available through the apt installer is SoundConverter 3.01.

Thank you.
