convert option not highlighted

Just downloaded and attempted to use. I click on add file and select the CD. then I select a file and select open. At no time is the convert button highlighted. The target fouder is not created. I have filed out the preferences with a target loaction and type (mp3). the source is .wav. Be gentel, I am a newbe and old enouth to be your garndfather.

Solved.! It turns out that you can not (or I could not) use the CD as the source. I copied the wave file to my HD and convert became an option.
