You can convert the APE file to mp3 or flac.
You must edit the cue file to change the name of the file.

what I have done was to split the ape (or flac) and tag each generated file with cuetools. following this guide:
http://www.webupd8.org/2009/04/split-ape-and-flac-files-in-ubuntu-and.html
Then I used soundConverter with each file.

Cue file is a text file. It can be edited with any text editor.

It will be awsome the integration between cuetools and SoundConverter.

Have you tried iDealhsare VideoGo?

It features one step to split CUE based APE files to MP3 audo tracks,

Here is the step by step guide at http://www.idealshare.net/audio-converter/cue-splitter-for-mac-windows.html

Can you help with this problem?
