software don't update

Ubuntu gives possibility of update software but my TELECOM Router for some pakets refuse the connectivity and is impossible to update.

are you using an office network? most office networks will have websence installed.
if not, try sudo apt-get update before doing the update.

I use UBUNTU 9.10 it have Network Manager to make configurations of the Network.
To day is the first time I was able to update not all files of System, not all because the configuration I am doing is not correct at all.
I have to work on it more, but I am on the right way.
