I recently upgraded to ubuntu13.10 but thereafter have a problem with yahoo mail. It used to load from the icon in firefos which is on the desktop. but has now stopped

I recently upgraded to ubuntu13.10 but soon after realized that the icon for yahoo mail on firefox situated at the right hand corner of the computer no longer works. the page keeps loading and can't execute.
Another problem I also encountered was that minitube keeps crashing. I did not have that problem with 13.04. Please help.
AS regards trying to rectify the problem, I tried sudo apt-get remove unity-webapps-yahoomail but that didn't work. For minitube, I tried uninstalling it and re-installing it but that did not work either.
