Some inconsistencies

Asked by Rudy Rubin

Running Strawberry on Vista:Checking the system against the PDF documentation
1. Changed time zone & restarted: System asked for a name & password. Where do you set the password? Had to shut down the system to start Sugar again.
2. Copied several x/o files from a USB Flash drive; saved them & made the entry to keep. When I restarted the system, the activities I saved and presumably kept were not on my activity list.
3. The journal does not seem to post or keep track of any history.
4. I noted before that you cannot connect to a network, it seems that the system does hit my router but then just cycles back to ask for the key. Doesn't work for non security nodes and lists nodes that are not around my location.

re 2 and 3, did you add persistent storage to your stick when you created it?

Hello Walter,
I didn't understand your question. I reinstalled Sugar and saw the area to set persistent storage. I set it to 755MB.
This solved the problem of not posting to the journal and saving new activities fron a USB drive. Thank you for pointing me in the right direction.
Changing the time zone again, I accepted the name of Liveuser and after the reboot, the system came up normal.
I will close out this question.
