While running Sugar on a Stick on an old Compaq laptop, the Presario V3000, Sugar cannot use the machine's wireless adapter. It turns out that this machine has a Broadcom wireless adapter. Broadcom doesn't allow their drivers to be released as free & open source software, which means there's only limited support for them in Sugar.

Sugar is built from free & open source software. This means that there is no support for proprietary drivers by default. However, there are ways out of this:
