Using Launchpad for Translations on SMPlayer

Asked by Oğuzhan Öğreden

Hi!
I'm a Turkish Linux user, and I'm about to translate my favotrite applications on Launchpad. And SMPlayer is my favourite media player, especially for the subtitled ones. And I would like to translate SMPlayer to Turkish so anyone could use it.

I think launchpad only supports translations of po files, while smplayer uses ts files (Qt).

So I think you'll need to use linguist to make your translation. BTW, there's already a Turkish translation, but it's very old.

You can get here the current translation:
http://smplayer.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/smplayer/smplayer/trunk/src/translations/smplayer_tr.ts

For more info:

Can you help with this problem?
