Any plans to implement additive="sum"?

Asked by Andreas Neumann

Hi,

I found your fakesmil library very useful. Thank you for your efforts!

It works for many of my simpler SMIL examples. What I currently miss is the implementation of additive="sum". This is useful if you want to simultaneously scale and translate an object, such as is the case in the Ken Burns effect implemented in OSX.

Are there any plans to add this feature to fakesmil?

Thanks,
Andreas

Hi Andreas,

More wishes than plans.
I agree that additivity is cruely missing.

However, if you control the svg content, you can nest your objects in <g>'s and attache one animation to each <g>.

Hope this helps.

David
