Simple Scan window not responding to keyboard shortcuts

Simple Scan 3.30.0
Linux Mint 18 (Ubuntu 16.04) KDE 64bit, KDE Plasma 5.6 desktop environment:

Simple Scan window not responding to keyboard shortcuts:

Ctrl+S and Ctrl+N work but Ctrl+1, Ctrl+F and ESC does not work.

How the short cuts could be activated ?

sorry typo: the issue is related to Simple Scan 3.20.0
