Possibility to change default save format

It there possibility to change default format for saving?
After each scan I got jpeg as default format for save. I prefer to use pdf. Maybe remembering last choice would be solution for me too...

Try changing the file extension to PDF when you are saving the document. You can change the default to TXT from the menu. But that choice will only be black and white. So if you want to scan a color document and save as PDF, just changethe file extension when you are saving.

This is what I am doing right now, but it is not convenient.
Simple Scan remembers location where I save my scanned document, so why it does not remember file type (pdf) too?
