pdf-export adjust print resolution

Asked by gregor willms

Hallo

I work with a hp officejet 6500A and Suse 11.4. Simple-Scan Version 2.32 from the Suse-Repositories runs out of the box with scanning and showing the images. Converting to pdf-files with several pages seems to work properly. But now i had to print out something an had bad luck with this. The printout gives a resolution 54 to 89mm, which is not the Fromat A4 (210 x 297mm), that i wanted to use and which i choosed in the preferences interface of simple scan. At this size, the pages are not readable. Unfortunatly, i scanned a lot of documents. In the properties-window i can read Papersize 54 x 89mm, which is the size, the pdf-file is exported. I cannot find any interface or file, where i could adjust or correct the resolution for the print-out. Does anyone can tell me, where i can fit in or select the resolution for print out, that i need?

I am sorry, but I do not understand fully. Could you attach a file and explain what is the desired result and what the actual result is?

the desired result is a din-a-4 print out. But what i get is a minipicture on a din-a-4 papersheet.

the desired result is a din-a-4 print out. But what i get is a
minipicture on a din-a-4 papersheet.

the first attachement shows the result, i get, when I print out using
the print-dialog of evince.

the second attachement shows the properties-window of the pdf-file, that
was created with simple-scan. At the bottom, there is the papersize
mentioned with 27 x 40 mm, which is not din-a-4.

I created https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1076513
You should be able to attach documents there.

Can you help with this problem?
