Simple Scan and GTK

Asked by tommaso scappini

I'm using Ubuntu 12.04 with Mate Desktop 1.4 and I can't have decoration in the simple-scan windows. How can this be fixed?

I'm sorry, I have done a screenshot with simple scan window, but I'm not able to put the .png on this post! Anyway, it looks like it's missing the gtk interface, but that's impossible, because Mate is based on gtk! It could be that there's no libgtk or something like that, but I cannot understand which one! I have to say that it is the same with brasero: no decoration in the window...

upload the screenshot somewhere else, e.g. http://imgur.com/

if it is a general problem also affecting other applications i dont think this is the proper place to discuss it -- however i do not really know where to move the discussion... :(

Hi, I've solved the problem, thank you very much anyway.
The problems are due to mate themes, that are not perfect yet, in fact the mix between gtk2 and gtk3 is not complete. There is only one theme for mate that provides the perfect mix, also for simple scan, and that theme is Mint-X (and Mint-Z) theme.

Bye
