Saved files permissions (-rw-------)

Asked by manu

Hello there, a question I also asked on Ubuntu's launchpad, sorry for the inconvenience if this is a duplicate...

Simple-scan saves the files with rw permissions for the User, and no permissions for the Group and Others.
(on its side, xsane adds read access for the Group).

Is there a way to change the default permissions to other settings ?
TIA

Merci.

No need to create duplicate issues.
This sounds like an issue with not honoring the user's umask and should probably be converted to a bug report.

Simple-scan 3.4.0, with umask 0027, creates files with the following permissions -rw-r-----. Can you specify the version and umask you're using?

How does this relate to https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/simple-scan/+bug/898341

Lets keep discussion at one place, and I suggest the bug.

Can you help with this problem?
