Simple Scan

Page-size is wrong

I installed a new multifunctional. The Brother DCP-9055CDN is connected trough the network and works fine, but upon launching Simple-Scan, the page-size is wrong. I tried all settings for A4, on the Brother and in Simple-Scan without any succes. The pagesize is over 2 inches (58mm) too long, while width remains correct at 210mm resulting in a 210×355mm pdf-file. (luckily the crop-tool works fine with A4-overlay)

Also, I cannot get Simple-Scan to automatically scan dubble-sided, using the ADF-dubblesided-scanning feature of the DCP-9055CDN.

I use Oneiric ocelot. With my Canon MP640 everything works fine. But i have to regularly scan large amounts, that's why i bougth the Brother with its automatic double-sided-ADF.

Somehow, just by itself and without any system settings or other changes made, SS now starts with A4..... I am absolutely puzzeled! But i am happy now. Topic may be closed.

Please, can anyone still have a look at the problem of not being able to scan double-sided?
